Today I finally finished this card I started about 3 weeks ago...Here's the scoop...I got this ingenious idea to create this really neat card where Tilda was kind of suspended in mid air being held on by two rings and having this castle looking arch behind her...Well as you can see, there are no rings, my paper kept ripping cause I couldn't find my piercing tool so I scrapped that idea and created a larger hole which I then looped some ribbon through, Ok so I got that part figured out and I created my really cool brick arch but then...I was stuck...OH NO!! what's a gal to do?!? I sat the card up on my entertainment center for a whole 3 weeks, looking at it, avoiding it, you name it...Then I discovered those crystal bead deals that you can get in the bridal section of any craft store...Believe it or not, I actually bought some for my son's birthday cake...another story for another day, just know that I had some and I got so excited when I came up with the idea to dye them green using Tim Holtz's alcohol ink re-inkers and a plastic bag. GENIOUS! I now have crystal vines! The whole thing came together in a jiffy once I had the idea. I really love how this card turned out and it's possibly my absolute favorite card now.
Ok, so here's some of the products I used on my card...
