Peachy Keen

Today while my tile guys were here finishing my master bathroom I decided to sneak away to my loft and create this card using Strawberry Tilda.

I colored this Tilda a few days ago but did nothing with her.  Ironically while I was looking for paper I found some from Carolee's Creations that was the perfect match.  Most people color their images to match their paper, I do the opposite!  So far I've been lucky!  I also received some awesome ribbon from my April mingle partner that was also a perfect match.  I added the peach ribbon around the card then just added the two smaller knots to each side of the peach knot.  It matches the striped paper perfectly!

The paper roses are from Crafta.com and the butterfly is from, I wanna say, K & Co. but I could be wrong and I don't feel like going back up into my loft to find out LOL Sorry!  I colored her with my copic markers and this time spent some time with distressing her like in Angie's video tutorials.  I think she turned out pretty good, what do you think?

The CS, ink and sentiment are all from Close To My Heart.  I didn't add any charms or safety pins this time.

I cut out a separate arm with watering can and popped it off the page as well as her hand around the stem of the flower.  I love the dimension it gives.  I don't know if you can tell in the picture or not.  I again, replaced the leaves with a flower.

I hope you like my card!  It's by far my 2nd favorite card!

Happy 25th of May...

Today is May 25th and this is the day that we get to post our cards for the Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop.

This month I am using Unwrapped Tilda purchased from Diana over at the Magnolia Store found here.

The paper I chose is a little non-traditional and came from a kit I purchased a long time ago, but I do know it came from JoAnn's. The circle is a paper doily with the center cut away.  I used some plain white gross grain ribbon to keep it closed.  Oh yeah, by the way, it's called a Matchbook Card.
I used a safety pin to hold my little charm that says "angel".  The paper roses came from a kit that I received in the mail.  I love these little flowers...must have more...LOL!  I colored little Tilda with my copic markers and popped her off the page.  The inside of the card is simple.  I didn't photograph it but it reads "Merry Christmas" on a mat.  The size of my card is 4.5"x4.5".

Now lets hop on over to Kathy Curry's blog to see what wonderful creation she has come up with!

TIlda with Ladybug

Today I made another card with one of the kits from the Magnolia-licious Card Kit Swap.  I'm just loving these kits!

This one uses Tilda with Ladybug which can be purchased at Diana's store here.
I think I'm going to have to add this one to my ever growing wish list...

The paper is adorable and double sided, I used the back side of the paper as it was a little softer for the look I was going for.  The flowers I purchased from a lady on Etsy.  The GIGGLE, charm, ribbon, and rhinestones were all in my kit.

Really, I think there's just something missing, what do you think?  Tell me, I can take it...I think...

Strawberry Fields Forever

Don't ya just love The Beatles?  I do!  Huge Fan!  I am also a HUGE fan of Magnolia stamps too!  Can't ya tell!! LOL!

I recently participated in a Card Kit Swap over at the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group (Want to join? Click the link on the sidebar of my screen -->) I just received the most wonderful package in the mail with 5 of the cutest kits I have ever seen enclosed.  I couldn't wait to rip open the package (carefully so as not to ruin any of the contents) and see what was awaiting me inside.  Here is one of the cards I created using one of the kits.  This pretty little thing is Strawberry Tilda colored with Copic markers, cut out with Nesties and popped onto some darling paper I believe is from DCWV.  The ribbon is just perfect for this paper! I'm totally loving the little paper roses that were included.  I used some on another card but saved the yellow one for this card. I replaced the flowers from the image with the rose. I can't believe how well the color matches my watering can, and would you believe it, I colored this image over the weekend before I knew there was a yellow rose inside.  How about that for ESP?! The inside of the card contains my hand typed message, I just had to use "berry" in there somewhere.  I used the other side of the paper for the inside of my card.  I really love how it all came together.  I hope you do too!

Anyone up for a Mingle?

First, I want to thank Jennifer Dale for sending me a photo of the card I made for her for the Magnolia-licious April Mingle.  I totally forgot to take one.

I used Tilda With Lace Skirt purchased from 7 Kids College Fund.
The papers I used are from Close To My Hear called Topstitch.  I absolutely LOVE this paper pack.
If you received one of my kits for the Magnolia-licious Card Kit Swap, this is an example of what my kit contained and what you can do with it.
The flowers are from Prima, CTMH, and my stash!
Ribbon, sentiment, safety pin and brads are all from CTMH.
The image was colored using Copic Markers.
I also used my Nestabilities to cut the paper behind my image.
Tilda's little bottom is glued to the stairs but her head is popped for more dimension.  As soon as I learn how to add some shadows behind my images I'll do that from now on :)

The Color Purple

Nope, never seen it!  But....I did create a new Tilda card with a ton of purple.  I really don't know what prompted me to make this card with so much purple but I actually like how it turned out. I tried my hand at Suzanne Dean's "Scandinavian" look.  Well???

This little darling is Sweet Tilda purchased from 7 kids college fund.
I colored her with my copics, using only a few markers.  The purple I used was BV00 and BV02, the hair was Y21, E31, & E33, her shoes are E31, E33, and a little E37.  The only other colors I used were C-1 and W-1.  Simple!

The CS is from Close To My Heart, it's a textured, double-sided cardstock, lighter on the inside and white in the core.  Awesome stuff!  The patterned paper is from my stash of long ago.  The paper flowers are also CTMH and the other flowers are from Hobby Lobby.  The lace ribbon was also from my stash.
