You're Just Peachy!

Today, while my husband took our youngest to see Despicable Me, I managed to squeeze in some crop time with my other two kids.  While they were coloring images, I created this card using Peachy Tilda that I got from an image swap.  Now I have to have her LOL

Tilda was colored with Tim Holtz distress inks and copics (for the face).  I used my nesties to cut her out.  The paper is from Karen Foster (red and yellow) and Imaginisce (Green).  The ribbon and lace were from my stash, the charms are also from my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I really love how vintage she looks!  Kind of fall-ish too!
Here is my card:

It's Christmas in July...

Today over at the Magnolia-licious yahoo group we are celebrating Christmas in July!
Every 25th of the month Magnolia hosts a Christmas All Year Round blog hop and you're invited!

Starting with Cheryl's Blog you can hop through the Christmas-y creations one by one and feel the chill of the holidays...Can you believe we are half way to Christmas?  Where does the time go?

If you started here please go back to the beginning so you don't miss a thing.  If you can from Glenda's Blog then you're on the right track!

Today my card features Tilda Santa's Little Helper from the 2009 So Jolly/Under The Mistletoe Collection.  I used my Tim Holtz distress inks to color her in except her face, I used E00 and E02 from Copic.  The candy cane is a digital image that was perfect for this card.  It was also colored with distress ink.
The paper I used is from my computer, there's no company, I just searched for Christmas paper and it popped up.  I absolutely love it.  I saved it to my computer and printed it on watercolor paper, I love the texture.
The flowers are from Crafta.com and Wild Orchid Crafts.com.
The edge punch for the card was from Making Memories, I believe...
The crystal garland was from my local craft store and I colored it with some distress re-inker (raisin) to give it some color.
The PEACE charm on the top, right corner of the card is from my stash of charms.

Here is a close-up of little Tilda:

Now lets hop on over to Kathy Curry's Blog and see what wonderful creation she has for us today!

Waiting for Someone...

Look at her...she looks so sad sitting there waiting for someone...I know just who she is waiting for...She is waiting for her mingle partner, Lynn M. over at the Magnolia Cards and Kit Swap Yahoo group!

I used Tilda Longing Tilda from the 2010 Fairy Tale Collection and Castle Window, also from the Fairy Tale Collection.
Paper is from DCWV Princess paper stack, I just love, love, love this paper.  I embellished my card with some flowers from Crafta.com and Wild Orchid Crafts.com as well as some organdy ribbon from CTMH.  The glittery butterflies are from Heidi Swapp.  I used Tim Holtz distress ink to color my little Tilda except for her face, I used E00 from copic.  Once I was done with the card, I sprayed the whole thing down with glitter spray from JoAnn's Crafts.  You can totally see how shiny it is LOL

Here are some more pics of the card I created.

Angels and Butterflies

Today I finally finished a card I started back in the middle of June!  I loved the card but knew it needed more and I didn't have what I wanted so I waited.  Once I had what I wanted I didn't have the time so I waited some more...Today I had not only the supplies but the time to complete it.

I used Tilda with Bare Feet and I just LOVE how she's facing away from you and you can see her little wings and tiny toes.  What a cutie!
The paper I used is from The Paper Loft.  Tilda was colored with copic markers and I also did some paper piecing on her scarf and overalls.  Love the look!
I also used a lovely gold ribbon slide with some New England Ivy ribbon from CTMH.  I also used paper flowers from Crafta and Wild Orchid Crafts.  The butterfly is from my stash.

Butterflies is the theme for our Magnolia-licious Yahoo group Mingle and Kit Swap this month.  If you'd like to join in the fun, click on the link in my side bar on the left.

I'm not sure what I plan on doing with this cute little Tilda but chances are, she'll end up in the hands of my lovely mingle partner!!

Here are the pics of my card.  Enjoy!

This one shows the popped details of Tilda sitting on the fence.  I colored the bottom image gray except for her feet, those I colored normal.  Then I colored the top image but cut off her feet.  I popped the two images together to give it more of a dimensional feel.  Now it really does look like she's sitting on the fence.  I also created the background, it's supposed to be a sunset LOL

This one is just a close up of the image itself.

I love Shrinky Dinks

Wow!  I wish I knew about this stuff when I was a kid, it's awesome!  Of course, now that I am an adult, I find it more fun.  I stamped one of my favorite Magnolia images "Princess Tilda" (mainly cause I'm a princess too) onto my new shrink plastic and colored her with my copic markers and stuck her in my toaster oven to shrink.  I love how cute and little she is, I punched a hole in her head while she was still warm so I could add her to a card as a charm.  I think I'm going to go broke buying up more shrink plastic LOL!

Watch out world...here comes "Tiny Tilda" LOL!

*Tip: use light colors as they darken when cooked!

Thanks for looking! This was just for fun...

Coloring with Distress Inks

So, this is the very first time I've colored with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks (I used the ink pads) and I really do love how it turned out.  I followed the advice of Angie Hunt, I just LOVE how her images come out, I even bought the ones she used on her Honey Tilda LOL I haven't colored her yet.

Anyway, I just wanted to share her with you and ask for your opinions (but be gentle LOL).  One of these days I'll get her on a card.  Who knows, maybe the lucky recipient will be my SIL or my Mingle partner :) You just never know with me!!

Thanks for looking!

This is Tilda with Spring Bundler.
